MaximumASP announced it is now offering 30 day introductory accounts for free. The company presents its MaxV platform, that features Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V VPS.

The offering enables customers to choose between MaxV Plan A or Plan B virtual dedicated servers. MaxV Virtual dedicated plans are hosted on either Windows 2008 or 2003 operating systems with 32- and 64-Bit editions.

The platform supports SQL Server 2008 and 2005. MaximumASP says that it also offers high-performance shared SQL servers.

Last year MaximumASP started offering Quest LiteSpeed for SQL Server to provide backups available for SQL Server.

Web Host CrystalTech launched new economically priced Hyper-V powered VPS plans that start at $59.95 per month. The price is promotional and is available through January 31, 2009.

In 2008 CrystalTech has become one of the premier hosting providers to offer Microsoft Hyper-V as the underlying technology behind a VPS solution. According to the company it offers "true hardware virtualization and heavy isolation between virtual instances on the physical server".
